Kagome Inc., Headquarters in Los Banos, CA is pleased to announce that it has recently closed on the purchase of the assets and business of Creative Foods LLC in Osceola AR. The closing was celebrated this past Saturday with a Company Picnic and BBQ for all employees at the Blytheville – Gosnell Regional Airport Authority premises, where Creative Foods second production facility is located.

In addition to meeting and welcoming everyone to the Kagome Team, Kagome’s President and CEO Mr. Greg Ishigure along with its’ CFO/COO Mr. Hiroshi Mori and Luis DeOlivera VP of Operations, presented a check for $10,000 to Mr. Robin Myers, President of Arkansas Northeastern College for its Scholarship Fund. Others in attendance from Kagome Inc were Ann Hall, VP of Research and Development and Molly Cassidy, Director of Human Resources.

Also attending the celebration were United States Congressman Marion Berry, Arkansas State Senator Steve Bryles, Arkansas State Representative Charlotte Wagner, Mississippi County Judge Steve McGuire, Director of Economic Development for Mississippi County Cliff Chitwood, President of the Blytheville – Gosnell Regional Airport Authority Joe Gurly and Gosnell Mayor Dick Reams.

Creative Foods was the oldest surviving manufacturing company in Mississippi County and was founded as Osceola Foods back in 1948. The company employed approximately 200 people and the name of the new subsidiary company is Kagome Creative Foods, Inc.

Kagome Inc was established in 1899 and was the first company to successfully cultivate tomatoes in Japan. Kagome produces high quality customized culinary sauces world wide in flexible pouches. It also produces other fruit and vegetable food products internationally and has just recently expanded its line of 100% pure juice vegetable and fruit juice drinks in the domestic market. The drinks are 100% natural and contain no additional salt or sugar. Kagome has a long standing commitment to producing products that “enhance the wonderful tastes and nutrition that nature provides.”

The addition of the Creative Foods product lines and production facilities is a great fit for Kagome. Creative Foods has been a long term private label supplier of various vegetable oil based products and many other high quality food products packaged in a variety of forms. The two companies intend to build upon their collective strength, utilize their diversity to move forward and strategically expand in the coming weeks, months, and years by working diligently with its greatest asset, its people.
