The Osceola-South Mississippi County Chamber of Commerce has a new director.

Board president Steve Brothers announced this week the hiring of Eric Golde.

Golde is a self employed business consultant serving clients regionally and locally.  He is on the Community Improvement Commission and the Chamber of Commerce Membership Committee.  He is also on the Northeast Arkansas Federal Credit Union Board of Supervisors.

He retired from Siegel-Robert SRA after about eight years of service in the Wilson and Portageville, Mo. facilities as a product manager/engineer for capital projects involving plant layouts, subcontractor management, construction planning and oversight.

He was an independent business consultant based in Oklahoma City for five years with fortune 100 clients plus a mix of local and regional clients.

Golde said he looks forward to working with the local community to contribute to Osceola/South Mississippi County's future success.

Brothers said Golde's "business and consulting experience will help the chamber grow and provide enhanced services to our members and their customers."

Originally from Indian Lake, NY, Golde received a NY State Regents scholarship, and is a graduate of St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY where he received a Bachelor of Science degree.  Golde then moved to Bloomington, IN for graduate work at Indiana University.

He and wife, Nancy, reside in Osceola with a summer home in Indian Lake, NY and a winter home in Foley, AL.
