Advocacy

To be a positive, proactive influence upon governmental decisions affecting our community. Goals include legislative receptions in Little Rock, state & US chambers of commerce updates, & identifying proposed legislation that could affect our members or community.

 

Education

To promote education to produce a skilled, responsible work force and sustain strong community leadership. Goals include identifying and communicating workforce educational needs of local employers, Arkansas Scholars program & banquet, and coordinating and delivering the Leadership Academy.

 

Member Relations

To identify and develop value-added services for chamber members. Goals include identifying and assessing existing services & developing new benefits, coordinating efforts to retain and develop members, coordinate recurring and special Chamber events throughout the year, and provide guidance and mentorship to the Young Professionals Network leadership

 

Public Relations

To promote the community as a great place to live, work, and visit. Goals include developing promotion strategies designed to attract/retain residents and businesses and increase tourism, assist with Chamber outward marketing such as website and press releases, and develop strategies to improve community appearance, including projects to beautify entrances into town and other key locations and making recommendations regarding planning/zoning & code enforcement.

 

Facilities Management

Designated committee with members appointed by the Executive Committee for their technical knowledge and expertise. Goals include recommending to the Board suggestions regarding the Chamber building and rental, office equipment, and technology.
